Thinking about Buying and Storing Inventory? You Need to Know Dropshipping
Attached below are my handwritten notes from Corey Ferreira's seminar. I learned a lot and recommend any new business owner pop in to a session for free. Click here for the link. I've made the notes available in case they would be helpful to you to follow along with, or to peek at what topics are covered in his webinar.
My concern with drop shipping so far...
... after following along and exploring Oberlo and Aliexpress, is that I don't see a lot of books in their catalogue! That might make the whole thing a little more challenging for me, but gives me plenty of ideas for a secondary shop nonetheless. It's all about finding a niche and facilitating access to those desired items that you know someone is going to love. In the seminar they said to start with a more narrow focus in terms of products and target audience though, so maybe I'll keep those ideas on the backburner and try to figure out how to acquire books from wholesalers who will drop ship.
I would have to separate my used book section from my new books, but I was more excited about selling used books. They have history and character, and make you wonder where they've been and who else has shared those moments with the main character. Often they have notes written in the margins, increasing that feeling of connection with a time past as you try to decipher loopy faded pencil-marks.
It's romantic! I love it. There's nothing wrong with selling new books but before I go down that path I'd like to try my hardest to stock my store with previously-loved products.
